Dutch Oven  Roast Turkey Breast

If you are looking for a faster way to cook a turkey and your family prefers the white meat, look no further. Roast some vegetables along with the turkey.

There are just a few tips that will guarantee a perfect one-pot meal.  Butter and herbs are the secret to juicy, delicious turkey. Rubbing butter and herbs under and on top of the skin will give tons of flavor and crisp up that skin.


- Rub seasonings and butter onto the turkey and under skin. - Cook Turkey in preheated 400°F oven for one hour. -Turn oven down to 325°F.

-- Add vegetables and herbs to Dutch oven. - Cook vegetables until they are tender-crisp. Cook Turkey for another hour.  Test with a meat thermometer.  Turkey is done when it registers at least 160°F.

- To make gravy:– Remove turkey and vegetables, cover with aluminum foil. Spoon off some of the fat from the top of the juices. Pour ½ cup of the dripping into a cup or small bowl. Stir in 2-3 tablespoons of corn starch or Arrowroot powder. Add to the pot, and bring drippings to a boil, Lower to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes to thicken.
