- Saute' the green beans for 3 minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup water to skillet and cook beans until crisp tender.*
- If you like your beans crispier, you can add less water or let it cook away and then saute beans for another minute to crisp them.
Optional Parmesan Crisps
- Heat oven to 350°F. Line a large baking pan with parchment or silicone liner.
- Place about 1 tablespoon cheese on pan. Lightly press down into a small circle.
- Bake for 5 minutes or until light golden brown. Watch carefully, they can burn quickly.
Notes
*We like to use McCormick garlic, onion and black pepper seasoning. You can use whichever you prefer or just add 1/2 teaspoon onion powder and 1/4 teaspoon more pepper and garlic.
*Depending on how crisp or soft you like the beans will determine how much water you add and how long they cook. You can cover the pan and let the beans steam a bit longer if you like them soft. I will take a bite of a bean before adding more water to see if they are done.
*Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pan over low heat until hot. Or microwave for 1 minute. Use low heat so the cheese doesn't burn. Freeze for about 1 month. They will be much softer when you defrost them.
