Hi everyone! My name is Deb and I am an empty nester with a not so empty nest. I share my home with my husband Jim, two dogs and two cats. Our son and daughter are off living their own happy lives and our pets definitely fill ours with joy!
12,000….that’s a big number. It is probably the minimum amount of dinners I have cooked over the years. If you add breakfasts, lunches and desserts, well, that’s a lot of food!
Does that make me an expert? Ummm, noooo. Have I made my share of burnt or bad tasting recipes? Absolutely!! What I do have is tons of experience and an overwhelming love of creating and tweaking recipes.
Cooking healthy meals, with a focus on low carb and keto-friendly ingredients has been a way of life for us for some time. My recipes contain very little processed food and will never come from a box or package. But that does not mean we have to sacrifice great flavor, or even give up our favorite foods. Most of the time there is a healthy substitution that is just as delicious!
